2.Do you think NPR is right in saying that Holden is an accurate representation of American youth or is it offensive to you that NPR say that Holden is “the most American of characters”?
3.Why do you think that people such as Mark David Chapman, who murdered John Lennon, and John Hinckley, Jr., who attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan were obsessed with the book?
4.Some people say that Holden is totally disillusioned and is out of touch with reality.  Do you think that it is dangerous for kids to relate to Holden?
